Intoleran active ingredients: Tolerase G, an enzyme from the fungus Aspergillus niger, a prolyl-oligopeptidase, trademarked. Tolerase L is a proprietary lactase or β-galactosidase enzyme from the fungus Aspergillus oryzae. This enzyme breaks down the disaccharide lactose (the sugar in milk) into its two monosaccharides: glucose + galactose. The enzyme alpha-galactosidase helps break down fructan and galactan oligosaccharides in certain vegetables, grains, and legumes in the small intestine into fructose and galactose monosaccharides, respectively.
