100% natural gluten-free and vegan thickener, highly digestible. Arrowroot powder is obtained from the tubers of the arrowroot. These contain approximately 23% starch. First they are washed and drained and later, they are reduced to pulp using mortars. The liquid thus obtained is passed through a sieve where the insoluble starch settles at the bottom. It is allowed to dry obtaining a powder product. Acting as a thickener (substitute for corn flour and other thickeners), arrowroot powder creates a clear gel and does not break down when combined with acidic ingredients) in sauces, stews and sauces. Use it in cookies, jellies, cakes, puddings, fruit pie fillings and frostings as a thickening agent. One tablespoon is recommended for every quarter liter of water. Keep out of the reach of children.
