Large 9cm Antique Yellow Metal & Rose Cut Diamond Stick Pin - As Found Yellow metal, but tests positive for at least 9ct gold. Oval shaped head, soft metal pierced border, with a raised star shaped setting containing a 5 mm sized rose cut diamond. On a considerably long pin. Mid Victorian. Head: 18 mm Diamond: 5 x 4.5 mm (length ways & across) Diamond Depth: 1.4 mm approximately Full Pin Length: 9.2 cm Weight: 4.6 grams Condition: Used - chip to diamond edge bottom left to bottom centre, approximately 1 mm across & 0.5 mm from within the stone, with a fleck chip also visible on its closest facet. Some surface scratches & darkening on the back of the head, with the front also showing tarnish/oxidation marks around the setting. A few fine scratches to the pin reverse next to head.
