A real shining star, this hypnotic sphere of light offers an incredible, sparkling spectacle. The PMMA diffuser in a slightly ovular shape stands out with its faceted surfaces, both inside and out, which creates a mesmerising play of light. The faceted and transparent plastic material refracts light in all directions and shines like crystal. There was no skimping on design sketches or tests: Japanese designer Yoshioka and Kartell spent a long time working on finalising the variations in thickness and angle of the plastic. Every last detail has been meticulously studied so that all the facets fragment and refract the light in the best possible way. The light sparkles and boasts an incredible kaleidoscope effect that changes with the angle you look at it from. Whether switched on or off, this chic and precious lamp is sure to catch the eye.
