This boat bath (sometimes called a Bateau bath) is a classic, with its freestanding style and unique NEW aluminium plinth this will be the show piece of your bathroom, adding elegance and style. Made with an acrylic inner and outer this bath is available in polished white as standard but, for an additional cost, can also be painted to order. All you need to do is to choose your paint colour to suit your decor. An extensive range of paints and colours are available to you. Choose from Little Greene, Farrow & Ball, Mylands Paint, and in addition, a choice of RAL and British Standard colours. Extra time is needed to allow for this process - please do not hesitate to contact our in-house team to further discuss your colour options, turnaround and cost. Personalised colours are hand painted in BC Designs workshop to create a finish that is true and personal. Extra time needs to be allowed for this process, currently working on a 4-6 week turnaround for bespoke baths. Every traditional acrylic roll top bath is fashioned with the original designs in mind but in modern-day materials for comfort and easy installation. The solid aluminium plinth is personally hand polished to enable the beauty of this material to shine and due to the nature of aluminium, there may be minor pinholes and imperfections in the plinths which make them distinctive and add to the charm of your bath. Please note: due to the way in which original Bateau baths were made, each long side bows inwards slightly by approximately 20mm in the middle and so will not align flush against a wall. Using a paint roller the bath will then be painted with 3 or more coats of your chosen colour. The paint used is an exterior eggshell paint which has a 20% silk finish. This is used because it is resilient, eco-friendly and has a breathable finish. This paint is also resilient to flaking, peeling and colour fade for up to 6 years if care instructions are followed Water and fungal resistant along with being easily washable and wipeable.
