After introducing three summer-ready adidas Samba colourways, Sporty & Rich is back in 2023 with another tasteful collection. This time, the shoe flaunts autumnal shades of burgundy, a hue which we saw during the initial collection via the Campus '80s "Burgundy" edition. As the adidas Samba continues to dominate the demand for the Terrace shoe aesthetic, founder Emily Oberg sprinkles her athleisure touch onto the footballing icon once again, serving up another capsule brimming with premium storytelling.This Sporty & Rich x adidas Samba “White Burgundy” emerges as the fifth colourway, alongside other sporting classics such as the Stan Smith. Founded by once Complex employee-turned-influencer Emily Oberg, Sporty & Rich started off as a humble Instagram page and magazine before turning into a fully-fledged brand. The sportswear-inspired luxury label first teamed up with the 3-Stripes in late 2022, featuring a footwear and apparel capsule that resonates with the German sportswear powerhouse’s athleisure aesthetics. This collaborative adidas Samba features a supple white leather upper reinforced with cream-white suede T-toe overlays. Suede burgundy accents make up the sawtooth 3-Stripes on the sides and back tab, keeping in line with S & R palette. Gold foil Sporty & Rich branding adorns the lateral panel, matching the premium pearl and gold hang tag that adds to the edition's luxurious feel. Vintage-inspired cream hues appear on the laces and satin interior lining, while the signature gum rubber sole completes this premium Samba rendition. As with the prior collections, the S&R Samba "White Burgundy" comes neatly packaged in a green and white box, its removable lid a detail only found on older 3-Stripes releases that give these an archival touch.
