Undecyn combines the gut flora -enhancing qualities of undecylenic acid with betaine HCl and the broad-spectrum activity of berberine to help create a healthy balance of gastrointestinal and vaginal microbes. Fatty acids bound to minerals such as calcium, such as Undecyn's calcium undecylenate, are more sensitive to the acid/alkaline balance in the gastrointestinal tract. Therefore, betaine hydrochloride is included in the Undecyn formulation to provide an acidic environment in the small intestine for optimal efficacy. Berberine, well known to help maintain a healthy balance of normal bacteria in the intestines. It is recommended to take 3 capsules twice daily or as recommended by your healthcare professional. This product is contraindicated in an individual with a history of hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients. If you are pregnant, nursing, or trying to conceive, do not use this product. Undecyn should not be used together with H2-blocking drugs and proton pump inhibitors, as these drugs are intended to block the production of HCl in the stomach. Undecyn is contraindicated in patients with peptic ulcers. Powdering Undecyn from the capsule to take orally is not recommended as it may be irritating to the oral mucosa.
