The Glidevale Protect VP300 is a medium-weight, vapour-permeable underlay known for its UV stability and heat resistance. It exceeds the vapour resistance required by BS 5250 and is stronger than many alternatives. Suitable for all pitched roofs, it is CE marked and BM TRADA certified. The VP300 is an economical choice when higher spec options aren't needed, offering easy handling and cutting due to its lightweight nature. It measures 50m by 1.5m, with a roll size of 75m2 and weighs 125gsm (9.83kg per roll). Highly vapour-permeable and fully watertight, it reduces condensation in the roof space and acts as a secondary barrier against wind-driven rain and snow, preventing wind uplift loads. Ideal for zones 1-3 at a 345mm batten gauge, it can also serve as a temporary roof cover before slates or tiles are installed.
