Seiko Auto Quartz 18kt Solid Gold Bezel Men's Wristwatch. Ref. 7M12-6A40. September 1999. An unusual mix of elements make up this gent's watch. It features an early version of Seiko's kinetic movement. Half automatic, half quartz. The automatic part of the movement is used to charge a small capacitor that powers the quartz side of the movement. Genius at the time. The capacitor has just been replaced with the genuine updated Seiko rechargeable lithium battery. This Seiko watch has the 18kt solid gold bezel and works perfectly and has high end quartz accuracy. The wristwatch is in nice condition with a clean crystal and spotless dial.
