It has very attractive aquilegia-like foliage, but is at its best in summer, when the open sprays of pure white flowers burst upon the scene. A coolly elegant plant that mixes well with ferns. Garden care: May need supporting with brushwood or garden canes. Divide congested plants as new growth begins in spring, although divisions may be slow to re-establish. Cut back flower stems to the ground in spring before the new growth starts to emerge.
