The Love Party plate collection is illustrated by Berlin-based artist Carmi Grau, known as Super Nice Letters. Carmi Grau's work lies at the frontier of hand lettering, calligraphy, graphic design, painting and illustration. She has collaborated with Nike, Disney and Facebook, and designed the calligraphy for Lana Del Rey's Lust for Life album in 2017. Her credo: hand lettering. The artist mainly draws very short, positive phrases. Her “feel-good” witticisms are uplifting; they boost, motivate and make us smile. The illustrator combines letters and patterns in expressive abundance rich in symbols. Words are the central element of her illustrations. The lettering worked on in detail by hand is highlighted by a set of symmetrical, original, offbeat, current patterns.
