First, calculate the entire floor space area in metres squared (m). Next, deduct any space occupied by fixed furniture with less than 50mm clearance from the floor; this will eliminate the risk of hot spots. Once you have a total area minus the deductions, deduct a further 10% to allow for the spacing between the mats and around the room™s perimeter. This final number is your required kit size in m. A single thermostat can control up to 24m.
