The Baumit Plastic Base Profile Therm protects the underside of the first row of Baumit insulation boards. Mechanically fix it to the substrate level with the damp proof course for optimal results. It provides a horizontal line for installing panels and reinforces the bottom edge of the insulation system. It delivers a solid foundation for fixing Baumit insulation boards, helping to stabilise the exterior and prevent cracking. Made of plastic to minimise thermal bridges, it features a drip edge trim, bonded glass fibre mesh, and a connector pin system to prevent cracking at connection joints. It's fire retardant up to DIN 4102, suitable for insulation up to 160mm thick, and comes in a 2000mm length with 125mm mesh width. It includes plug connectors for convenience and is easy to apply. Ideal for various prepared substrates, it can be installed by securing at the damp proof course with suitable Baumit anchors and shims for uneven surfaces. Apply insulation or finish as directed..
