This Belutsch rug is a wonderful example of true nomadic art. The Baluch is knotted in three countries: Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. It takes its name from the Baluchi tribe, but is also knotted by other tribes. Small rugs or bridges are mainly knotted. Large carpets are rare.
