They are also made from fossil-fuel based materials. Made from 70% cellulose and 30% cotton, these sponge cloths are a completely natural alternative that can be composted at home at the end of their life. They are also much more reusable than their plastic alternatives, as they are dishwasher and washing machine safe. This enables you to wash these cloths time and time again, so you get more use out of them than plastic sponges. Simply pop them in a normal wash at between 30-60 degrees Celsius and hang to dry.
