Builder's Edition The Builder's Edition collection represents the finest design and craftsmanship available in Taylor's production models. Unique Tonewoods The 324ce features a new tonewood in the Taylor lineup, Urban Ash. Continuing Taylor's commitment to sustainability, Urban Ash comes from Shamel ash trees that are cut down in southern California's cities and suburbs. These trees would normally go into landfill, however, Taylor are recycling them into tonewoods for guitars instead. Make no mistake, the use of Urban Ash is not simply environmentalism. Andy Powers, Taylor's master designer, was impressed by Urban Ash's properties, believing it to be a premium quality tonewood. Solid Urban Ash is used for the back and sides of the 324ce and provides a tone similar to high-quality mahogany. Taylor pairs this with a solid mahogany top and the result is a guitar that has a warm tone with an excellent punchy midrange response and deep bass. Grand Auditorium Body The Grand Auditorium body shape is a true all-rounder.
