Named Designer of the Year at Maison&Objet 2020, Cypriot designer Michael Anastassiades is a fan of the purist approach. Composed of simple geometric shapes, his lights are imbued with a strong sculptural dimension. As evidenced by his incredible Coordinates collection: a destructured assembly of horizontal and vertical light rods. These sculptural lamps resemble aerial mobiles, graceful and elegant. A minimal aesthetic that’s no less spectacular. Reduced to their purest essence, these abstract luminous forms suspended in the air are not lacking in physical, sensual and enigmatic presence. Each rod is made of an extruded aluminium structure. The integrated LED light sources rest on flexible strips protected by opaline silicone diffusers.
