Novia 500 VCL features a clear, green-tinted, blown virgin polythene structure. It's an affordable vapour control layer for timber frame construction or any situation needing moisture control. It complies with CPR standards and is CE Approved to EN 13984:2013. VCLs regulate natural moisture vapour within a building envelope, often from general building activities. Novia's VCL membranes are compatible with various construction designs and offer specific solutions. The roll is 50m long, 2.7m wide, and covers 135m2, weighing 15.5kg. The material is 500 Gauge/125 Micron thick. It also serves as an air leakage barrier, reducing energy loss from convection. Use Novia butyl and foil sealing tapes for full barrier integrity. Apply double-sided butyl tape with a 75mm-100mm overlap and seal with Novia foil tape. Pre-apply butyl tape to studs or timbers to enhance the seal with staples or fasteners.
