Supreme gears up for another Nike SB edition for its 2023 Spring/Summer Season, collaborating with artist Rammellzee. Having first worked with the mysterious artist all the way back in 2004 via a selection of backpacks, this release celebrates 20 years since the two partnered up. Sadly, Rammellzee passed away in June of 2010, with this pair of SB Dunk Lows the perfect medium to showcase the artist’s unique art style. Although the hype around Supreme has dampened since its monumental Louie Vuitton collaboration in 2017, the brand continues to release solid projects with the Swoosh, a lot of which have managed to fly under the radar. That being said, a lot of eyes are set on this August release so if you do fancy adding this Rammellzee Dunk SB to the collection, don’t be surprised if you’re forced to catch that delayed W on the secondary resell market as this could be one for the history books.Unlike the other Dunk High edition from the capsule, the Low arrives with black suede on the toe and Swoosh. The midsole follows suit as it arrives dressed in black, balanced by a dark gum outsole below, a favourite feature for any real sneakerhead out there. For the majority of the panelling, a canvas material plays host to the various pieces of abstract art and doodles from Rammellzee’s back catalogue, providing a contrast to the dark suede panelling. The typical SB rope laces come threaded onto the eyestays, with gold “SUPREME” dubraes sat at the bottom of each lace, the only obvious branding accent on the upper as the tongue and heel tab are coated in a double hit of black. Boasting the standard SB tooling, an additional Zoom unit and padded tongue make these more comfortable than your average pair of Dunks.
