Oxford Vitality Multivitamin for dogs
Our TabletsVitamins/Nutrients This supplement contains Vitamins A, C, D3, and E, Choline, and B Vitamins 1, 2, 5, 6, and 12. Vitamin A (retinol and its derivatives) has many physiologic functions and is involved in the regulation of cellular growth and differentiation. They act as potent antioxidants. Vitamin C is important for the synthesis of collagen and elastin. In times of illness, stress, and disease, an increased intake of vitamin C may be beneficial. Dogs and cats cannot rely on exposure to sunlight for Vitamin D, as they have low activation of cholesterol in the skin by UVB light. As an antioxidant, Vitamin E prevents lipid peroxidation, protects the stability of cell membranes, and protects fatty acids against oxidative damage. Choline is a nitrogen-containing essential nutrient that is critical for normal cell membrane structure and function. In animals, choline supplementation may aid a fatty liver. The B-complex vitamins are involved as cofactors in many metabolic functions, especially energy metabolism and synthetic pathways Minerals This supplement contains many minerals, including Folic Acid, Potassium, Iodine, Selenium, Copper, Manganese, Zinc, and Iron. Potassium can regulate the pH of urine in dogs. Many of these minerals contribute to improving the reproductive performance of some dogs, including Selenium, Manganese, Copper, and Zinc, and they have been deemed necessary for proper reproductive functions. Zinc also plays a critical role in regulating many aspects of cellular metabolism, a number of which are concerned with the maintenance of a healthy coat and skin. It participates in both the inflammatory and immune systems and is involved in the metabolism of vitamin A. Copper and Iron have been observed to support the normal growth of dogs and be an essential part of haemoglobin production as well. Multivitamin for Dogs is a complementary pet food for dogs.
