Raab Matcha Green Powder Tea is grown in plantations in southern Japan under stringent ecological standards. The leaves after careful drying and selection are ultra fine ground by granite stone mills. Matcha tea is a very fine and high quality green tea that has a tradition in Japan for centuries. Only a few tea growers master the art of Matcha cultivation. Four weeks before harvest, the plantations are covered and with this the growth of the leaves is slowed down, thus achieving its typical flavor and its bright green color. It is recommended to put ½ teaspoon of Matcha in a bowl and pour hot water at 80 °, if possible soft water. Then froth the tea, whisking it for about 15 seconds with a hand mixer.
