J-Vit is a concentrated source of bioavailable, hydrolyzed collagen type II, chondroitin sulfate, and hyaluronic acid. A patented process produces a low molecular weight mixture of components that are easily absorbed and readily available for use in the body to protect connective tissues, promote cartilage synthesis, support repair, and improve the overall appearance of the skin. Collagen type II, the most abundant protein found in joint cartilage, helps support new cartilage synthesis and quenches free radicals in joint tissue. Hyaluronic acid is an important nourishing agent that helps to retain the natural moisture content of skin tissue and joint fluids. Chondroitin sulfate supports synthesis of cartilage tissue and inhibits cartilage-degrading enzymes. OptiMSM®, a sulfur and methyl donor, supports joint structure and comfort. Vitamin C is required for hydroxylation, a biochemical process required for cartilage synthesis. It is recommended to take 2 capsules twice daily or as directed by a healthcare professional. Two capsules twice daily supplies approximately 1 g of collagen type II protein, 400 mg of chondroitin sulfate, 200 mg of hyaluronic acid, and 1 g of OptiMSM®.
