What is Lysine? Lysine is an amino acid which is used in conjunction with other amino acids to build protein. Certain amino acids can't be synthesised in the body and must, therefore, be acquired from dietary sources - Lysine is one of these. Foods containing Lysine include cheese, yoghurt, red meat, milk, brewer's yeast, soybeans and spirulina. Benefits of Lysine Lysine is often supplemented for metabolic purposes as the amino acid contributes to the regulation of metabolic processes, including the maintenance of energy production. Both strengths are sold in four different quantities. Our Lysine tablets are not suitable for those who have trouble swallowing as both strengths are sold in large, torpedo-style tablets.
