Oxford Vitality has carefully formulated a tablet containing micronutrients which contribute to the normal function of the immune system. The ingredients included in this tablet are Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Zinc and Selenium. Vitamin A Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin that is available in two forms: retinol and beta-carotene. Our OV Immune System Boost tablets contain retinol, the source of Vitamin A that is normally found in animal products such as red meat, cheese, oily fish and eggs. Vitamin A has been used for centuries to treat ailments - its heritage dates back to as far as Ancient Greece. Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal vision. It also contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes and the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin C Vitamin C, otherwise known as ascorbic acid, is another element in these tablets. Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of the immune system and contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Vitamin C also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Zinc Zinc forms the active site of over 20 enzymes and contributes to the maintenance of the immune system and the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Zinc also contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, normal bones and normal vision. Selenium Our Selenium is extracted from Sodium Selenite, an inorganic form of Selenium that enters the food chain via the soil. We recommend that both the 500 and 1,000 tablet options are more suitable for use by more than one person. This is to ensure that you are receiving full use of the product before its expiry date.
