GlauberPharma Demalin is a food supplement made from Griffon and Hypericum, promotes normal mood and promotes relaxation. Griffonia is a source of 5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan), an immediate precursor in the biosynthesis of the neurotransmitter 5-Hydroxytryptamine (serotonin; 5-HT). The 5-HTP contained in Griffonia simplicifolia has the characteristic of being converted to serotonin for more than 70% of the dose taken orally. Hypericum contributes to maintaining emotional stability, inhibiting the re-uptake of serotonin, monoamine oxidase and through interaction with GABA receptors. Passionflower extracts have the characteristic of enhancing the effects of Hypericum in its MAO (Monoamine oxidase) inhibition action, blocking the re-uptake of serotonin and norepinephrine neurotransmitters.
