Monacolin K from red yeast rice helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels.* The cereal contains 14 substances known as monacolins that are in the group of statins and are used to lower blood cholesterol levels. Coenzyme Q10, also known as ubiquinone, is a substance present in most cells, important for energy metabolism and with antioxidant action. *The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 10 mg of monacolin K from fermented red yeast rice preparations. Take 1 capsule a day before dinner and accompanied by a glass of liquid. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. The daily amount of 3 mg of monacolins from red yeast fermented rice or more should not be consumed.
