Terpenic cypress essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leafy branches. Highly valued for its decongestant and phlebotonic properties, it is ideal for use as a food flavoring for oral use. The Cypress is an arboreal species of the Cupressaceae family native to the eastern Mediterranean regions. It is recommended to use 1 to 2 drops of essential oil per kg of food.
